Carols 2019
CHRISTMAS is just around the corner. In addition to our church’s Sunday 8th Dec 10am Families Christmas Service (“Christmas Wrapped Up”), there is a huge exciting community Christmas event. Come celebrate Christmas here at Macleay Park in North Balwyn on Saturday 14th December 2019 with Carols in the Park. Carols in the Park is a combined North Balwyn Churches community event. It begins at 6pm with family time. This is followed by the Carols at 7:30pm and ends with FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR.
Invite all your family and friends for this wonderful evening of music and Christmas carols and songs by the Camberwell Salvation Army Band and various local choirs and soloists. The Carols in the Park promises to bring Christmas cheer to you and you family. There are many activities and a sausage sizzle. Its a wonderful time to relax with your family and friends in the outdoors enjoying and listening to Christmas carols. It is also a good time to remember, reflect and give thanks for birth of Jesus Christ. Additionally, it a great time to for thankful for the opportunities that our wonderful country and suburb and community has to offer.
There is another service to highlight – yes, our Christmas Day service here at North Balwyn Baptist Church. That service is on Wednesday 25th December 2019 at 9:30am. We welcome all. So, as you have noticed, we have lined up a fantastic lead up to the actual day with (1) the Families Christmas Service on 8th Dec and (2) Carols in the Park on 14th Dec. It is our prayer that the peace and joy of Christmas will be renewed in our people’s hearts and that it will reign strong through out the year.
We are a multicultural church with a congregation of people from as many backgrounds as 30 different countries. On Sundays, there is live interpreting of our service into Mandarin for our Mandarin speakers. There is creche room for the parents with young kids to watch and listen to the service live. For the older children and youth, we have kids church and youth bible study on Sundays. Outside of our regular 10am Sunday service, we have many programs. Programs include English and Mandarin conversational classes, Growth Groups, Possums Playgroup etc etc. There are many ways to connect with our people and the local community.
