Made alive in Christ!

Have you been in the supermarket the last couple of weeks and seen the new Coca-Cola product being promoted everywhere? “Life” is Coke’s latest offering. They have moved away from their tradition red colour and have made the “Life” bottle forest green. I was asked by the sign in my local cafe, if I had “tried the new life?”

“Life” and concepts such as “new Life”, are incredibly marketable and popular in our wider culture. The idea that you could have a new life by drinking a a bottle of sugar, is obviously ridiculous, but there is some deep desire within us all to crave a better life. The good news for us is that God has given us life, not through a bottle of coke, but through his son. Ephesians 2:4-5 tells us that “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Praise God that he has sought us out in order to give us new life!
