This year, 2020, North Balwyn Baptist Church is a collection centre for Shoe Boxes packed for Operation Christmas Child 2020. Due to current COVID19 restrictions, we are open for drop off of Packed Shoe Boxes on Wednesdays 26th Oct and 4th Nov 10am - 1pm. If timing is not convenient, please contact our office on 98598101.
Bless a child in need for Christmas by packing them a special Christmas shoe box present(s). All details are available on SamaritansPurse.org.au
SHOEBOX: Order your pre-printed shoeboxes online or use a regular sized shoebox wioth a lid no larger than an A4 page.
GIFTS: Choose a boy or girl and age group (2-4, 5-9 or 10-14) and fill your shoebox with gifts (see below for GIFT IDEAS or go to SamaritansPurse.org.au). Every shoe box needs a "WOW" item!
PRAY: Most importantly pray for the child who will receive your gift. Include a personal note and photo.
INCLUDE A $10 DONATION: A donation of $10 is critical to cover shipping and other project costs. If you give online (SamaritansPurse.org.au) through Follow Your Box you can discover the destination of your shoebox.
LABEL: Every shoebox must be clearly labelled. If you ordered Follow Your Box labels, do not photocopy the barcoded label as it will not scan.
DROP OFF: Take your shoebox gift to a local drop-off point during OCCtober.
North Balwyn Baptist Church is a multicultural church. Located conveniently on 136 Doncaster Road, Balwyn North, we are currently meeting online on ZOOM for our 10am regular Sunday church services. In addition to our English church service, we also have Chinese services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. We also have an active kids church and kids church program. Outside of our regular church services, we have CATALYST Youth (years 7-12) that meet currently on ZOOM on Fridays @ 7pm and IGNITE Youth (Grades 3-6) that meet currently on ZOOM on Saturdays @ 2pm. They hang out and play games and learn about God and the bible. We welcome all newcomers to connect with us.
